Yay, I got a new job. Well. A second job, as a waitress, at a Mediterranean restaurant. They have all sorts of shit though, Persian and French and Italian and Greek and Mediterranean. Steak and salmon and shrimp and lamb and chicken and veal and so on and so forth. One night a week they have a belly dancer! Yay! I can make friends with her and learn how to belly dance. You know, once I'm less of a fatty that is.
Speaking of, the diet is going really well. The detox diet-kickoff supplement pack I dropped 60 bucks on at GNC was totally worth the cash. The meal-replacement shakes are actually not so bad (I don't like the chocolate one, but I hate chocolate, so...), especially the vanilla. The workout-boosting vitamins are awesome and don't keep me up at night even though I take them around 7pm. Plus I have the motivation to finish hard workouts (Cardio Pilates is HARD) and to clean the house afterward! The detox drink tastes like citrus-flavored ass though. I don't enjoy that at all, especially the "drink slowly" part. I am definitely going to buy the meal shakes and workout vitamins when the kit is over (it's a seven day kit) and my GNC first-week-of-the-month Gold Card benefits will be still in effect, yay yay yay.
I ordered my gym shoes today too, yay! The only thing I need to do now is to buy some socks and some resisitance bands, and some light weights too. And a new workout video, because mine are pretty tired, but I'm just going to order a yoga one one of these days.
So, in non-diet news, I have little to say.
The new job is going to be awesome, especially the whole "Just bring him with you if you don't have daycare" part. I like that part. It means I can very likely work weekends there tooooo. Wheee! And wear real clothes from the looks of things. Robert has big plans for the place, and I already have a few ideas myself, and between he and I we can boost profits double at least. Apparently the staff there already do really well, so that's nice. :)
I bought some sassy shoes today to celebrate, and did three different yoga sequences (two for abs, woot), and I finally got the rest of the stuff so I can do better pedicures at home. I refuse to get one in public until my feet are in better shape!
Odin got some new books and more ridiculous plastic "Easter" eggs. Ostara eggs. I would like to take the time to point out that eggs have nothing to do with Jesus, which is what Easter is supposed to be about. Eggs have everything to do with Ostara, as a symbol of fertility and rebirth.
SO THERE.
I ordered my contacts today too! And got my rent money order all together. Now all I have to do is
1. Mail swap gift.
2. Mail suprise super awesome stuff for suprise super awesome mailings.
3. Get membership at gym, and don't forget coupon for half off first month!!! That means from now until June I'll only spend $45 on the gym!
You wanna hear the best part? The restaurant doesn't open until 11:30. So taking Odin to daycare at 8:30 like usual for breakfast I can spend an hour working out before work three times a week, and then whenever Ronald and I go together! Yoga classes and swimming and runnnnnnning. Yay!!!!
*today is the next day*
Lame other-people-not-being-online-so-I-can-steal-their-internets. Pfffft. I'm hideously excited still about not working at the track so very much. Real clothes!!! REAL CLOTHES! Real clothes that don't include a hat, that don't reek of deep-fryer, shoes that look like real shoes and not a lump of rubber! I am, no kidding, really excited. I'm going to buy this sundress I saw at Fashion Bug. It's black and white and swishy too, and I'm going to continue to buy sundresses as I like. Robert wants to turn a good profit, and I've noticed in this state that a girl with a lot of hair and a pretty dress on makes people show up. Especially men fond of women and food. =] So I'm working on my very own raglan sweater! I'm using a sort of raglan recipe (you can find a link on my sidebar), and it is knitting hella fast, being on 10.5 needles!!!
I'm still in the back-and-forth bit at the very beginning and am working out what I want to do with the color scheme. Blues and green and yellow and orange! I don't know if I want to use the pink but I think I'm going to have to. :/ I want to just use the aforementioned so I will have two balls magenta and two balls pink leftover to make a different, much smaller and cap-sleeved sweater. With a v-neck! Most definitely. Terribly exciting. With this sweater I measured for a 28" neckline in hopes of having a really wide boat-ish neck. I don't know if that's going to work, but I saw somebody else's reciped raglan and she said that's what she did for her super boatish neck...
Today is my super day off. Tomorrow ought to be, but it's instead going to be my first day at the new job. Yesterday was, but I also spent hours and hours walking, and when I got home I worked out. I got up really early today on accident, and I'm still in my coffee phase even though it's already 10:30.
Horus is pigging out on some millet right now :) I am pigging out on NOTHING because of my super diet. Which is going pretty well. I feel way better and feeling so good makes me not even miss fried foods or steaks or Doritos (ok, I miss Doritos a little, but once Odin has eaten all the ones in the cupboard I'll be fine hahaha) or anything else. I had the most delicious vegetarian dumpling curry last night. It was an organic make-in-the-microwave meal and the whole box, THE WHOLE BOX was only 200 calories. I mean, seriously! And I was soooo full when I was finished!
The best part is that later, when I did my yoga, I didn't have to smell chicken or grease coming out of my skin when I sweated!
Odin is watching Dead and Breakfast right now, which I love. I love David Carradine. Like, a lot. I love the accent his voice puts on his consonants. His elocution drives me wild. Kind of like how watching Christian Bale makes me get all sappy-girly, David Carradine does that with his voice.
I really super want the damn internet to connect! I have Ravelry updates to make and Facebook things to dooooooo. Ugh, Ravelry makes me want to knit EVERYTHING. My reclaim-the-needles project I was working on is not turning out so well. One pair of socks is 3/4 done, another 1/4, and another 3/7 finshed. Blaaaaah. I have to frog and reknit the "foot" portion of my yoga sock because I'm a retard face and I cast on too many stitches after making the "heel" hole. But that's okay. It'll knit way fast being 20 stitches smallllllller :) Leaving me plenty of yarn to make a twisted cord and some pompoms. I love pompoms!!! I'm going to put four pompoms on each sock I think. I FUCKING LOVE POMPOMS. But not on hats. Not even for babies. Yuck-city.
